Start your discovery of Champagne with a visit to the prestigious Champagne House Ruinart. This breathtaking tour of the underground cellars will introduce you to the complexity of Champagne and why it works so well with so many different foods. The proof will be in a private tasting lunch at the cellars where wines from the house will be specifically paired with dishes to show both to their best advantage.
During the afternoon discover other local specialties of Reims; the biscuit rose and the local cheeses and mustards. La Maison Fossier is home to the traditional pink Champagne de Reims biscuits, where you can join a cooking class to learn how to make some of the most delicious French patisseries yourself.
Your hotel for the stay is the brand new Hotel Royal Champagne, easily accessible for both Reims and Epernay. Choose to dine from the two restaurants within the hotel; the Michelin star Le Royal or the more relaxed Bellevue.
