Your private driver will take you on a Jerez wine tour, in the province of Cadiz, to meet the wine expert who will guide you during your visit of the Pedro Domecq winery.

The family tradition of the Domecq wineries began in 1730 with Irishman Patrick Murphy, but it wasn’t until the mid-nineteenth century that the winery acquired its current spectacular dimension, with the arrival of Pierre Domecq, a young and enterprising French aristocrat. Pierre was the Spain representative of the English firm Ruskin, Telford & Ruskin, a prestigious wine trade London house. But soon the wineries, the horses and the air of sherry cast a spell on him and he became… Pedro Domecq.

He opened his own business and his warehouse quickly became the supplier of the Royal House. Pedro Domecq bought farms and paid a fortune for the best vineyards of Jerez, which are part of the excellent “Pago” of Macharnudo.

Nowadays, Domecq is one of the best-known wineries in Southern Spain and it has a large international presence keeping its authenticity and Andalusian flavor.

After the winery visit and tasting, your driver will take you back to your hotel in Seville, or you can stay in Jerez and enjoy one of the most characteristic shows in Andalusia: the dancing horses. Take your VIP seats in the arena at the Royal Andalusian Academy of Equestrian Art, and watch horses and riders perform their famous “Dancing Horses” display. This is arguably the finest live dressage performance in the world!

Following the performance, we suggest a typical Andalusian tapas meal in one of Jerez’s finest tapas restaurants before returning to Sevilla.
