At the best Champagne houses

Say cheers to an incredible experience at some of the most famous Champagne houses in the region of Reims and taste some of the finest bubbly wines in the world.

Reims is located in the French Grand Est, north-west of the Marne department and west of the Grand Est region on the axis between Paris and Germany. The region is bordered on the south by the mountain of Reims, whose slopes are home to some of the best wines of the Champagne vineyards, to the northwest by the Saint Thierry massif and to the east by Mount Berru. The climate of Reims is temperate and oceanic. The atmosphere is humid with winters that can also be lively while the summers can be dry and sometimes stormy.

Wineries in Reims enjoy a very privileged status as AOC Champagne is one of the best-known AOCs in the world, and only Champagne is allowed to bear the name. The terroir produces nearly 250 million bottles of sparkling champagne in its three main sub-regions: the Montage de Reims, the Côte des Blancs and the Marne Valley. Winters are relatively mild and wet. In autumn and in summer the vines are sunny enough for the ripening of the grapes. The Champagne soil (chalk, clay, limestone) is ideal for vineyards: it reflects sunlight on the vines, absorbs heat and retains the moisture necessary for the comfort of the roots.
