Torres & Earth
Faced with the progressive increase in temperatures worldwide, in 2007 Familia Torres decided to intensify the actions aimed at caring for the land and protecting the environment and established the fight against climate change as one of the main axes of its environmental policy.
The Torres & Earth environmental program was born with the ambitious objective of reducing CO2 emissions by 30% per bottle from 2008 to 2020.
Each year, Familia Torres allocates 11% of its profits to investments related to the environment and climate change and focused mainly on energy efficiency, the use of renewable energy and eco-efficient transport, among others. In 2018, the accumulated investment since the start of the program reached 15 million euros.
Thanks to the actions carried out within the framework of the Torres & Earth program, Familia Torres has already achieved a total reduction of CO2 per bottle of 27% from 2008 to 2018*, taking into account the three scopes: from the vineyard to final transportation at destination.
