Your experience will begin with a discussion of our 1500 acre Dollarhide Estate Vineyard and its diverse soils and microclimates. You'll explore the vines surrounding our winery in our Rutherford Estate Vineyard and learn about our certified green viticulture practices and the geological makeup of the Napa Valley.
Your tour will continue through the winery and delve into our innovative small lot winemaking process. You'll see our "winery within a winery" where we craft our single vineyard estate wines in open top fermenters. Then, sit down to take your wine knowledge from enthusiast to expert with this exciting group exploration of the five classic red Bordeaux varietals. Taste Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot in a guided group tasting designed to engage each of your senses to heighten your tasting experience. Once you learn how to harness all five senses to aid in identifying the delicate differences in each varietal, we'll treat you to specially paired cheeses that will enhance the unique characteristics of each wine.
