Alsace by hot air balloon - an exquisite combination of open skies, rolling countryside, neat medieval towns, soaring mountains and unspoiled forest - here’s to an unforgettable experience and a splendid day out!

There are flights to suit all tastes, budgets and timescales and each flight member is awarded with a personal certificate to accompany their photos. Most of the trips take around 4 - 5 hours. Further details are available on request.

All the tours culminate in a light meal and a celebratory toast with a glass of Crémant d’Alsace. Crémant is a light, sparkling, high quality wine, traditionally made from local grape varieties, harvested by hand, pressed in bunches and matured for at least 9 months in the bottle, making it the perfect post-aeronautic tipple.

Here is a small selection of balloon flights on offer over the region:

For early risers

Take a dawn flight and catch the sunrise as you float over the region. The flight includes a picnic breakfast on terra firma, accompanied by Crémant d’Alsace to celebrate your first flight.

Night owls

For the more experienced flier - take a high altitude flight to greet the sun before dawn, with breakfast and a glass of bubbly to celebrate daybreak on landing.

Lovebirds

What could be more romantic than floating over hill and vale with your cheri(e) in a specially chartered balloon. Flights over Colmar are rounded off with a traditional breakfast or light lunch and a glass or two of sparkling Crémant.

Family fun

Flights are open to all, except for very young children, pregnant women and those unable to stand for a couple of hours. Don’t forget sensible shoes, warm, weatherproof clothing and of course, something to record those views.

The sky's the limit

Other options include winter flights, available from the end of January to the end of March, depending on weather conditions. The flights cross the summits of the snow capped Vosges mountains, using seasonal anticyclonic winds for an exhilarating experience.

For the intrepid flyer who wishes to go a little further afield, transalpine flights are available on request.
