Situated in Northeast France, just a short 45-minute speed train ride from Paris, the Champagne region is home to the most famous sparkling wines in the world. "Often imitated but never equaled", is what Champagne producers would probably say if asked to comment on the fact that the Champagne name has regularly been “borrowed” by other sparkling wine-producing regions over the years. No more, however, as the name is now a legally protected AOC (Appellation d'Orgine Controllée).

Visitors to the region are often invited to discover the amazing treasures under their feet. In the town of Reims alone, there is around 200 km of cellars and chalk tunnels protecting millions of bottles of Champagne, 20 to 40m below ground level. But we are inviting you to enjoy a bird's-eye view of the region, just 20 minutes from either Reims or Epernay.

On the edge of the forest that lies near the vineyards, climb up to an unusual champagne bar, perched in the trees of the Montagne de Reims forest. Hidden in the heart of the Natural Regional Park, suspended 18 feet in the air at the highest point of the Marne valley, you will discover a unique combination of modern design, comfort and conviviality. Not for the faint-hearted but the view over the vineyards and the valley of Champagne is exceptional and well worth the climb. Cross the wooden walkways then settle into the swing seats or cozy armchairs, to enjoy a taste of a selection of delicious champagnes from both famous houses and small producers. The architectural balance of the treehouse with nature is seamless making this the perfect addition to a day in Champagne.

No access for children under 12 years.
