A veritable miniature continent of its own, the French island of Corsica boasts breath-taking scenery all around.
Corsica (Corse in French) is usually referred to as the "Island of Beauty" and it features the only island vineyards of France. As you explore Corse, you will discover the nine origin-approved (AOC) vineyards, the imposing mountain summits -some reaching an altitude of 2,000 meters, the Corsican peninsula to Bonifacio in the south, the spectacular "calanches" - steep rocky inlets and the fortress of Bonifacio, amongst other natural wonders surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea.
On this tailor-made wine tour, you will enjoy a private flight to the island of Corsica while you take in the stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding landscape. After experiencing the highlights of the island from the air, you will be taken to discover artisanal regional products at a goat cheese farm in the mountains. Then, it is off to visit a local vineyard, where a Corsican wine-grower will welcome you to a private wine tasting and gourmet meal prepared with delicious local products.
Corsica, with its 2,000-year-old wine-growing heritage, has more than 30 common grape varieties, including reds, fine and full-bodied rosés, renowned muscats and whites which are among the best in the Mediterranean. The winemakers of Corsica (a third of whom are women!) welcome visitors to their wine cellars and dining rooms in the heart of their properties. Come discover this unique French wine-region with us.
