Get an insider's perspective on Spanish wine & food culture—including how to pair classic tapas with local wines.

Seville (Sevilla in Spanish) is the capital and largest city of the autonomous community of Andalusia and the province of Seville, Spain. Due to its rich history and heritage, there are plenty of interesting sites to discover in the area: the old city boasting one of the largest cathedrals in Christendom with the Giralda tower at its heart, the royal Mudéjar palace known as the Alcazar with its impressive gardens and the picturesque Santa Cruz quarter. You can also cross the Triana bridge over the Guadalquívir River, to explore the lively Triana neighborhood and the traditional ceramic factories.

After having worked up an appetite walking around town, take part in this gourmet tour, which is the perfect opportunity to get an insider's perspective on Spanish wine & food culture—including how to pair classic tapas with local wines. Join us to enjoy an informal wine-tasting of Spanish wines accompanied by authentic local cuisine at Seville's oldest bar, El Rinconcillo. This bar/restaurant opened its doors in 1670, and still preserves much of the original decor, including the bare brick walls and the beamed ceilings. With the help of the knowledgeable host, who is a wine connoisseur and expert in gastronomy from Seville and beyond, you will learn about the character and complexity of each wine, and you will also understand how versatile they are with certain Spanish foods, such as fine prawns from the Huelva coastline, acorn-fed Iberian ham, Spanish cheese, excellent fish and meat dishes, and typical desserts.
