Private cruise on the Loire River with gourmet experience

You will board a gabare (a traditional wooden open boat/barge) for a private cruise down the Loire.

Your pilot has a true passion for the royal river and the gabares, which he shares generously. You feel as though there were only you in the world, in an exceptional environment (the Loire is the last untamed river in Europe). All you have to do is enjoy... An unforgettable experience! A little later, the gabare will stop on sandy islands, in the middle of the river.

Laurent will bring on board a wide selection of outstanding gastronomic specialties, listed on our regional culinary heritage. Local products, old specialties, healthy products, fair products... Laurent is a passionate man that will happily show you his treasures and share with you the flavours of the royal valley!

Tour and wine tasting at a local domain

The domaine de Montcy, located in Cheverny, is known for its AOC Crémant de Loire, Cheverny and Cour Cheverny appellations. This family property covers 21 hectares of clay-limestone soils and has converted itself to organic farming since 2008.

The Cheverny white wines are made from Sauvignon and Chardonnay varieties and the red wines and rosés are made from Pinot Noir, Gamay and Malbec. The sparkling wine Crémant de Loire is vinified from Chardonnay (dry white wine) or Pinot Noir (dry rosé).

Enjoy this moment and taste wine like a real connoisseur: the Cour Cheverny appellation is a stunning white wine made from a grape called Romorantin, imported by King François I into the Loire Valley.

Transfer back to the Tours or Saint Pierre des Corps train stations, or your hotel (located in the Loire Valley).
