Château Soutard, Grand Cru Classé

Located in the heart of a vineyard landscape listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Château Soutard epitomises the French art of living.

Five centuries of history

At the end of a majestic corridor of linden trees, Château Soutard stands proud with its 18th century façade and 16th century limestone wings, typical of traditional Bordeaux farm buildings. This maison is completely self-sufficiency with its wash house, vegetable garden and barnyard. The farm has kept its bread oven and its pigeon loft, evidence of past privilege.

After extensive renovation works, in September 2015, the doors opened to reveal the magnificent, historically respectful mansion featuring four bedrooms, two seminar rooms, a library, reception rooms and beautiful gardens to welcome our friends, clients and tourists to dive into the very heart of this magnificent wine estate.

Wine Tourism

Knowing how to welcome people is an art. Our team is skilled at doing just that during our tailor-made visits and events, fully in keeping with the development of wine tourism.

Since 2011, the chateau offers a range of à la carte programs, allowing visitors of every generation to experience a moment to cherish and discover this prestigious place, anchored between history and modernity.

Watch the sunset over Saint-Emilion while enjoying a glass of wine on the terrace, surrounded by an impressive 30-hectares vineyard.  Take your time, let the magic happen in this place... The two farm buildings, the cellar, the orangery and its decorated ceilings are open to the curious and the enthusiast alike, accompanied by a team of professionals who speak English, French, German, and Spanish.

In 2012, Château Soutard won the Gold - Best of Wine Tourism Award in the Architecture and Landscapes category and received the National Wine Tourism Prize.

The success of an event does not just reside in a setting, as beautiful as this may be. What counts most is the warmth of the welcome and the attention to detail that make visitors feel privileged.

Exclusive tour, prestigious tasting or family trip: all your desires can become true at Château Soutard.
