WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Learning about Chardonnay is an education that will last a lifetime. Although known for its ease of cultivation and ability to adapt to diverse conditions, this genetic cross between Pinot Noir and Gouais Blanc grape varieties is highly influenced by its soil and climate. Nowhere is this difference more evident than in Burgundy, where more than 150 million years of geological evolution have created the idea terroir for Chardonnay. You will learn all of this and more, of course, as we guide you through the time-honored techniques of life in a Chardonnay-growing vineyard and the winemaking practices that shape each village and vintage.

WHAT YOU WILL TASTE

The Chardonnay Experience concludes in one of our private tasting rooms. Here you will smell, sip and savor how the diverse terroirs and climats of Burgundy shape the Chardonnay in your glass. Sit back and relax and enjoy the moment as eight different white Burgundies from across the Côte de Beaune, all vinified at Château de Pommard, will be poured to awaken all five of your senses.

Tasting List:

  • Bourgogne
  • Auxey Duresses
  • Ladoix
  • 2 Meursault Vintages
  • 2 Chassagne Montrachet Vintages
