Stellenbosch is the a popular wine region in South Africa. The wine region of Stellenbosch along with Franschooek and Paarl forms the largest wine region in the country called the Cape winelands. Stellenbosch is slowly but surely making its mark on the global wine scene. WIth the growing popularity of its Cabernet Sauvignon wines, Stellenbosch has become a hotspot for tourists wanting to explore the wonders of South African wine. As this region is located just an hour away from the bustling city of Cape Town, the region of Stellenbosch has become a replete with day-trippers willing to try out the wines from the region. 

On this spectacular wine tour and tasting you will be taken to one of the  most renowned wineries in the Stellenbosch wine region. Uva Mira Mountain Vineyards, as high as 620 metres above sea level on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain Range, nestle against the Helderberg Nature Reserve.

Uva Mira Mountain Vineyards is situated in the coastal region of South Africa, an area that boasts some of the oldest soils in the world. Evidence of this lies in the tall, weathered mountains that grace the surrounding landscape and the Helderberg Mountain Range against which our vineyards nestle.Great care is taken when designating our vineyard sites to a particular rootstock, varietal and clone. The latest in technological research has been carried out on soil profiling of each individual vineyard to unlock nature’s secrets as to which rootstock, varietal and clone will flourish in each specific location.

Take in the splendour of Uva Mira, a family-owned boutique winery perched on the slopes of the picturesque Helderberg Mountains.
