Our wine tasting isn't just a special event – it’s an everyday occurrence. We can organise wine tastings in a variety of locations, including in Miko Restaurant, at our bar, at the Country Kitchen and in our wine cellar (as you might expect!).

Cellar and Winery Tours – Free: Monday - Friday at 11h00 (pre booking required).

Premium winery tours: Available on a Monday / Wednesday / Friday at 11h00 with one of Mont Rochelle’s wine staff. This is a true winery experience lasting approximately 20 minutes where you’ll be taken around Mont Rochelle’s winery and cellar, ending with a complimentary Wine tasting (pre booking required).

Below are the Mont Rochelle wines you can sample during your wine tasting experience

Mont Rochelle Sauvignon Blanc 2016- Pale straw with green tinges the wine displays a mix of tropical fruit characters on the nose. The lively palate exhibits hints of passion fruit, pineapple and limes and has a fresh citrus finish.

Little Rock Blanc 2015- The Little Rock Blanc is a very fresh, clean wine. Pale straw green in colour with a delicate peach and citrus profile, the wine is elegant with balanced texture and acidity.

Mont Rochelle Chardonnay 2015- A luscious and expressive nose of peaches and orange zest is well balanced with intelligent vanilla-oak flavour. A full and rich mouthfeel abounding with flavours of butterscotch and lemon rind is supported with a clean crisp acidity.

Mont Rochelle Little Rock Rouge 2014- The blend of four cultivars combine harmoniously to produce the perfect balance easy-drinking and complexity showing a balanced fruit profile and a smooth, soft palate. This wine abounds in vibrant red fruit aromas, reminiscent of crushed cranberries and raspberries. The blend consists of 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot, 9% Petit-Verdot and 9% Mouvedre. The palace is long and elegant with hints of vanilla with fine, polished tannins.

Mont Rochelle Merlot 2009- This wine shows red fruits of plums, and mulberries. The palate is full and well-rounded and portrays nuances of tobacco and dark chocolate. A full bodied food wine that will benefit from being enjoyed with most red meats including balsamic braised lamb shanks served with creamy mash and caramelised seasonal vegetables

Mont Rochelle Cabernet Sauvignon 2015- Ruby red with youthful purple hues this wine displays an array of Cassis, eucalyptus and classic cigar box characters that are neatly integrated with layers of black fruits. The palate is delicately poised showing great balance of opulent fruit and acidity with tannins that are well defined and silky in texture.

Mont Rochelle Syrah 2009- This wine shows an intense purple red colour, a classic wine boasting mint, pepper and spice, interlaced with intense black fruits and violets. There is a complex mouth feel of seductive blackberry fruits, spice, and an enticing meatiness that combines harmoniously, to produce a well-balanced wine.

Mont Rochelle Syrah 2014- Youthful in appearance, on the nose there is generous amounts of violets, black fruits, pepper and spice. The palate displays some meaty, leathery and blackcurrant notes and yet remains very fresh and elegant with a well-rounded and polished tannin profile.
