Pristine Natural Environment

The Bay of Many Coves is one of New Zealand’s luxury lodges located in the stunning pristine natural environment deep in the Marlborough Sounds in New Zealand’s South Island.

The Bay of Many Coves has 1, 2 or 3 bedroom luxury apartments, as well as our VIP Kereru Suite, set in seclusion on the water’s edge within 100 acres of native bush with numerous walking tracks. Vibrant birdlife abounds. On many days dolphins play in the bay with great views from all apartment balconies. From the apartments, set in the bush, the vista is spectacular and ever-changing. Whilst there are many activities to take part in many people ‘just simply sit and watch from their apartment balcony – at peace with a glass of fine Marlborough wine and part of nature. Where else in the world can you see (and hear) endangered birds and sea life from your bed?

During their stay, we host our guests to a tasting of the world-famous Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc - Marlborough being the largest Sauvignon Blanc producing region in the world. What guests do not know is that there are two different appellations of Sauvignon Blanc in Marlborough grown 30 km apart. Our Sommelier talks appellations as we taste the wines from Villa Maria’s reserve collection – Villa Maria is New Zealand’s most awarded winery.
