Under the guidance of the Cellar Master of a prestigious boutique Champagne house, you will taste different base wines coming from various crus (villages), years and grape varietals. Then, you will be taught the art of blending so you can create your own Champagne style:
Blanc de blancs is a champagne produced only with white grapes, mostly Chardonnay, although other varieties such as Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris are also permitted. Go for this style if you are after a fresh and fine blend with creamy roundness and stone fruit aromas.
Blanc de noirs are produced only from black grapes, thus Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. You will get full, rich wines from these grapes, bursting with fruit.
And what about rosé? Champagne is one of the few regions where it is permitted to blend red wine with white to produce a pink wine.
With all this information, embark on an exclusive wine-blending experience in the heart of the Champagne region. Advised by the winemaker of the House, you will first uncover the soul of Champagne while tasting several base wines. The highlight of this workshop will, for sure, be the blending part: design your own cuvée using the different still wines and develop your own style of Champagne! After a few years of aging, you will be able to taste your Champagne and share your creation with friends: a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
