Bespoke experience at The Louise in Barossa Valley, Australia

Kangaroo's in the real Australian bush

It's no secret that most visitors to South Australia’s Barossa Valley come for a world-class food and wine experience.  Lesser known, the Barossa is home to a large conservation park abundant with pristine native Australian flora and fauna.

Theme : Gourmet Experiences Start date : February 11, 2019 End date : April 29, 2019 Duration : From 1 to 3 hours Groups : No

The Louise has partnered with a local driver/host to offer our in-house guests the opportunity to experience the sights, sounds and smells of the real Australian bush, with our iconic kangaroos in their natural habitat.

Your driver arrives at 7am for the 20-minute transfer to the nearby conservation park. An easy 15-minute bush walk into the park leads to a clearing where families of native kangaroos are enjoying their breakfast. Your driver, who doubles as your walking host, will assist in setting out your own picnic-style breakfast in this beautiful, natural setting.

This is not a petting tour and is not for children, but is a memorable way to engage with Australia’s most unique living icons. Breakfast with the Kangaroos affords a great photo opportunity and operates daily mid-September through mid-May with a minimum 48-hour prior booking. This is an intimate, capacity-limited offering and we will suggest alternate mornings, should your requested date be unavailable.
