This is a suggestion of a Tuscan tour. All tours are made-to-measure and can be extended/adapted to suit your needs.

Unknown as a wine region 40 years ago, Maremma offers something different from our typical impression of Tuscany. Creating different styles of wines in all colours, this pretty coastal region is sure to surprise and delight.

DAY 1:

Your first stop will be at the tip of Rocca Di Montemassi, where you can live an unforgettable experience; visit the wine farm (vineyards, Maremma cow ranch, wheat fields, botanical garden), the cellar and the museum of rural civilization followed by a guided tasting of 5 wines accompanied by typical Maremma dishes.

After lunch, your driver will bring you to Rocca Di Frassinello, in a truly unique location with breath-taking views of the Tuscan hills. Here, guests are treated to a fascinating journey through time, from the contemporary architecture of Renzo Piano’s cellar to Italo Rota’s Etruscan exhibition. You can choose from several options for an unforgettable Maremma experience, from a vertical tasting or a walk through the vineyards to a made-to-measure “make your own wine” experience with an oenologist.

The night will be spent at the Rocca di Frassinello’s Guest House; the perfect place to immerse yourself in the unspoiled nature of the Tuscan Maremma, dotted with vineyards, woods and ponds. The guest house is the ideal place for a restful night in contact with nature, housed in a wing of the cellar designed by Renzo Piano.

DAY 2:

After a night's rest, enjoy breakfast at the guesthouse and then be ready to explore wineries even closer to the coastline.

Head to Campo Alle Comete and embark on the "emotions tour" which includes a visit of the wine cellar and a nice walk through the new vineyard, from where most of the property vineyards are visible. Its rooftop offers an amazing view on Castagneto Carducci and over vineyards all the way to the ocean on the horizon. It also includes a guided tasting of 4 wines, 1 extra virgin olive oil and a selection of Tuscan cold cuts and Carmasciando cheese.

In the afternoon, you will visit Campo Alla Sughera, an Italian-German wine estate lead by the desire to create the most sought-after Bolgheri Superiore DOC in a sustainable way. Your tour will start with a walk through the vineyards, to discover the various grape varieties cultivated in different soils. You will learn about the whole process of the winery, from the grape harvest to the maturation of the wines.
