Exploring the Musical Vines & Sculptures of Stellenbosch

Enjoy a guided tour through the Dylan Lewis sculpture garden. The Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden is a place of expansive vistas, scents and sounds of nature, with tranquil groves, hidden paths and lush indigenous vegetation. Stroll in the gardens, to view over 60 sculptures carefully placed in harmony with the landscape.

The sculptures focus on the human form, shamanic figures, monumental abstracted fragments and his iconic great cats. Along four kilometres of paths, one is led on a journey through different 'rooms', from the heather hills dominated by earthy male images to the meditative poplar grove with its sensual female torsos.

Prior to a fine dining lunch at Jordan Restaurant, which offers spectacular picture views of the lake, vineyards, mountains and valley, we will visit the Glenelly Wine Estate where we will explore the expansive Glass Museum owned by 90 year old May de Lencquesaing (Madame) who is a jet-setting senior citizen, an author and an award winner, a wine estate owner and a whirlwind.

Our journey will then lead us to DeMorgenzon Estate for a unique wine tasting and to experience the state's unique ethos of piping Baroque Music to its vines to help with the growing process.

We will have the option of a final walk and wine tasting at Hidden Valley Wines (time allowing) before returning back to Cape Town.
