A neighboring property of Six Senses Douro Valley has a well-kept secret that we are now unveiling to our guests: in a cellar on top of the mountain that overlooks the hotel, huge wooden vats are the cocoons for ageing Ports, some over 100 years Old. Hints of caramel, nuts and dried fruits perfume the cellar and its color transforms from bright red to shades of gold and tints of green. This experience starts with a walk up the hill through the vineyard, that leads up to a cool wine cellar with ageing Ports.

Lunch will be enjoyed at one of the favorite local spots such as at De Warenmarkt, situated in a cherished 18th century historical building at the heart of Stellenbosch’s vibrant cultural district. In late afternoon, you will have a Cheese & Wine Tasting with a beautiful views of the Simonsberg Mountain range.
