Château Smith Haut Lafitte, located 20 minutes from Bordeaux city centre has 1000 barrels resting in its cellars with its cooperage and its unique reception rooms. Tours start on time so that schedules and high quality service are preserved.
Château Smith Haut Lafitte vat room was recently renovated in order to accommodate 100% gravity flow and to enable small homogeneous lots to ferment in appropriately-sized wooden vats.
The vat room features state-of-the art technology: a vertical wine-press for our red wines and a Vistalys optical sorting system to retain only the finest grapes. On this tour, enjoy a private tour of the cellars and unravel the secrets behind making some of Bordeaux's most reputed wines. The tour of vineyards and cellars will end with a private tasting of the young red and white wines of the Chateau.
