You will meet your guide in Nantes and start your tour at the heart of Muscadet country with a lunch of fresh seafood and a range of Muscadet wines on the banks of the Loire River.
You will then drive along the Loire Valley to your first night's accommodation at Chateau de Jalesnes.
The owners of the chateau will meet you in the grand salon this evening with sparkling wines from the Ackerman vineyards, to explain the fascinating history of the chateau. A local wine specialist will introduce you to the wines of the Loire region before serving you your private gourmet dinner in the dining room of the Chateau.

Lunch in the beautiful town of Saumur and take a late afternoon tour and tasting of the Saumur Champigny wines before heading to the regional capital of Tours, where a tasting dinner will be organised to introduce to the wines of the region.

After a morning discovering Tours enter another local historical signature of the Loire; the troglodyte caves. These famous caves were dug into the limestone cliffs along the banks of the Loire River. Maison Bredif is the oldest family owned winery on the Vouvray appellation, their mile-long galleries and cellars date back to the 8th century where they have been making wines since 1893. They and will share their Vouvrays and Chenins, sweet and dry, in the Rotonde in heart of the cellars and then take you to the roof top terrace overlooking the Loire River to taste their red, rosé and sparkling wines accompanied by a selection of regional cheeses.

Today you will walk in the footsteps of giants. Discover the renaissance jewel of Chateau de Chenonceau. Its unique architecture and bridge make it one of the most original and iconic chateaux of the Loire Valley. King Henry II offered it to his mistress Diane de Poitiers.
After lunch visit the lovely town of Amboise, residence of Charles VIII and Francois I. Visit the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci in the chapel and the panoramic gardens along the Loire. Learn more about the genius of da Vinci by visiting the Clos Luce where you can see a display of some of his inventions.
Spend this evening and night in Amboise, enjoying a Michelin star dinner
Highlights
On the last day of your tour discover Sancerre and Pouilly Fume visiting wineries in both appellations. Taste these iconic white sauvignon blanc wines of the region with the local goats’ cheese.
Travel to Bourges to discover the town and the famous Cathedral.
You will spend your last night of your tour here, enjoying dinner in a local restaurant.
