The most awarded sparkling wine in the country is made in one of the oldest wineries in Uruguay. The Varela Zarranz family began its activities in the wine sector in 1933,a decade later they bought the winery that had been built in 1888 by Diego Pons. Heritage elements of Uruguayan winemaking and of great historical value are treasured in the winery. The ancient and the modern coexist in perfect harmony.
