Wine Tourism

On a visit to our winery, our ambassadors will guide you through the wine collection and introduce you to the characters and history that make Yalumba so unique. You will be able to discover and unravel the history of the Hill-Smith family and its impact on Australia's wine-making.

There are different and interesting stops along the way to better understand our wines:

  • The Tasting Room, with a short history of Yalumba’s Hill-Smith family
  • The Yalumba Nursery, where unknown grape varietals from all over the world are being nurtured and trialed
  • The tri-centenary vineyard, planted in 1889 and home to wonderous, gnarled Bush-Vine Grenache vines
  • The Hill-Smith family’s private museum cellar
  • The onsite cooperage to experience the fragrant sweet spice of handmade barrels
  • The Yalumba Wine Room

The landscaped grounds framed by the Wine Room and the historic clock tower are the perfect spot to explore before throwing a picnic rug down and enjoying the Barossa’s warm afternoon sun with a Coopers Board platter and a glass of your favourite Yalumba wine.
