The rustic Cullen Restaurant overlooks the Cullen chardonnay vines that whisper around you in the summer sun. There is simply no better way to enjoy an afternoon in Margaret River than seated at a table on the long wooden verandah of the iconic granite and stone Cullen Restaurant, tasting your way through some of the finest wine and food the area has to offer.
In Margaret River we are surrounded by extraordinary produce and we select only the best to prepare meals that complement our wines perfectly.
Enjoy Waygu beef, Arkady lamb, local marron and seafood, and a range of vegetarian dishes, all sustainably farmed and skilfully prepared with our wines as an accompaniment in mind. Many of the seasonal ingredients come direct from our own biodynamic gardens, grown right here on the estate. The menu changes with the season and there is always something special on offer; mulberries from the great overhanging trees of our driveway, chardonnay honey from the buzzing hives amongst the vines, olives from our own groves and vegetables and bush tucker from our garden outside the kitchen. Our chefs make the most of all the exceptional food our biodynamic practices produce in abundance.
The Cullen Restaurant has been awarded three Chef Hats from the Australian Good Food and Travel Guide for the past three years which is a remarkable achievement that we are justly proud of. In 2017 we were listed as the number one Margaret River winery to dine at by restaurant reviewer Fleur Bainger on the ‘Destinations of the World’ website, The Good Food Guide named Cullen as one of ‘Australia’s Best Winery Restaurants’ and we also received an ‘Award For Excellence’ from Trip Advisor, all recognising the care and effort that goes into every meal prepared for visitors to the Cullen Restaurant.
