Activities

Gastronomic, distinctive, and unique, the food and catering services of the InterContinental® Bordeaux – Le Grand Hotel are the epitome of elegance. The restaurant manages perfectly the combination of famous local products with a large variety of Bordeaux wines.

In his restaurant, the chef expresses his creativity by organizing dinners, events and by varying his creations according to the seasons to reveal how profoundly the InterContinental® Bordeaux – Le Grand Hotel is anchored in the life of the city, in its legacy and its vineyards.

Gordon Ramsay’s gastronomic restaurant, Le Pressoir d’Argent, can be defined as a master piece of the InterContinental® Bordeaux – Le Grand Hotel, an ageless landmark of excellence reflecting the talent of its chef.

Le Pressoir d’Argent Gordon Ramsay, two Michelin Star (2017), is situated on the first floor of the InterContinental® Bordeaux – Le Grand Hotel. Its name derives from the extremely rare presence of a solid silver lobster press in the dining room–one of only five in the world. It was made by the house of Christofle, and watching it in action brings home to you how astonishing creative cooking can be: it is an art where flavor is refined down to the minutest detail.

Open in the evening only (except Sundays and Mondays), our national and international guests will be offered a choice of dishes tactfully influenced by the cooking of Aquitaine, which is a famous as much for its cuisine as for its wines.

You enter the Pressoir d’Argent via the passage Acquart, before stumbling into a fine environment with a sumptuous marquetry floor. The dominant tone is created by bright mauve-orange colours and has an excellent effect. It is a subtle atmosphere: partly warm, partly intimate and it gives the room a marked personality.

On the menu there is a selection of dishes with simple descriptions which transform each meal into a proper gustatory experience. Together with the knowledgeable counselling of the head sommelier, the choice of one of the five hundred or so wines that sleep in the cellar, adds another stroke of magic to the occasion.
