THE WINE-TASTING CELLAR

Since it was purchased by Marcel Borie, a certain quantity of wine made at Château TrotteVieille has been kept as reserve in the Caveau du Chateau with enough bottles to open for dinners and wine tasting decades after their harvest. This reserve is carefully managed, the vintages are recorked on average every 25 years depending on the condition of the bottles. It is not uncommon to see superb dinners with great vintages of TrotteVieille around the world.

The Caveau of Chateau TrotteVieille starts with a 1929 vintage and continues to the present day. Since 2004 it has been supplemented by the collection of Very Old Vine Cabernet Franc wines, 135 bottles per vintage. This wine library is the memory and legacy of the property.
