Smith Haut Lafitte's 78 hectares of vines grow on a thick layer of Gunzian gravels. This "Cru Classé" estate has been totally renovated by Daniel and Florence Cathiard. The improvements they made in viticulture and winemaking have brought the estate to the peak of perfection.

For private dinners in their grand dining rooms, you can choose from any of the following menus and book yourselves a table for a meal of a lifetime.

  • Apéritif: Cocktail snacks
  • Starter: King prawn ceviche with citrus and passion fruit, peanut oil, and soba buckwheat noodles with Thai basil
  • Main course: Beef fillet in a peppery grains-of-paradise crust with a sweet corn mousse and sesame biscuit
  • Dish of cheeses
  • Coffee / tea with miniature desserts: chocolate cream, tonka bean and coconut milk mousse, and cookie of the day

Merlot Menu

  • Apéritif: Cocktail snacks
  • Starter: Carpaccio of meagre with pear and pomegranate petals, timut pepper, and kaffir lime vinaigrette
  • Main course: Roast chicken supreme with roast celery root and coffee sauce
  • Dish of cheeses
  • Dessert: Roast apple with salted butter caramel, sprinkled with Breton biscuit bits. Coffee

Cabernet Menu

Suggestion of menu choice, may change depending on the season

  • Apéritif: Cocktail snacks
  • Starter: Cream of Saint Flour lentils, diced fresh foie gras, and light whipped cream with dried fruit and a balsamic vinegar reduction
  • Main course: Roast fillet of meagre with turmeric oil, fregola sarda Sardinian pasta risotto
  • Dish of cheeses
  • Dessert: Mango mousse with finely-diced tropical fruit and grated dark chocolate
  • Coffee / tea with miniature desserts of the day
