Premier Cru Classé of Sauternes since 1855, Château Climens has been called the "Lord of Barsac" thanks to the incomparable style of its wines, famous for their elegance and freshness. The strong personality of Château Climens comes from its unique limestone terroir and from mastering the Barsac king’s grape: Semillon. As this is a particularly sensitive grape, the entire estate has been biodynamically farmed since 2010 to preserve nature and local biodiversity. The Moitry family, currently owners of the estate, along with a dedicated team, are writing a new page of the history of Château Climens.
