Domaine de Fontenille is one of the oldest wineries of Luberon area and have been producing wine without interruption for almost 400 years. Founded in 1637 with only 12 hectares of vines, the vineyard was grown and developed century upon century, reaching 40 hectares in the late 90's.
In 2013, half of the vineyard’s surface was replanted and the conversion to organic farming started. In 2015, a new winery was born, and new winegrowing and winemaking machines were introduced. Modern tools are now used to assist with traditional methods of grape growing and and wine production, with the overall goal always being to have a natural process from vine to glass.
