The Ruinart Maison is unlike any other. It was the first established Champagne house in 1729; it was inspired by the intuition of a monk well ahead of his time, Dom Ruinart. Elegance and discretion are part of the DNA of the Maison, as its history dates back to the beginning of the enlightenment century.
The Ruinart family has run the House steadfastly for over two centuries. The 9 generations have demonstrated the enduring character of Maison Ruinart and also its ability to welcome strong and varied personalities: Claude, who settled the current and historical property with the well known « Crayeres »; Edmond, the traveller at the origin of the first exports, Andre, the communicator… and many more.
The Maison illustrates its style through its Champagnes range: R, Blanc de Blancs, Rosé and Dom Ruinart. We also find it in the close relationship between the Maison and art. As a matter of fact, this has lead Ruinart to pursue an international artistic collaboration every year since 2006, and to its participation in more than 30 different Art Basel fairs worldwide.
Your experience at the Maison Ruinart will take you on an unforgettable journey from the XIII century until today. During a private visit, you’ll get the chance to discover the fascinating Unesco World Heritage registered « Crayeres » that are used today as the cellars of the Maison, and you will also learn about the know-how of Ruinart's Champagne-making.
Every Saturday and Sunday, the Maison Ruinart welcomes you to its French garden or to the salon of the property to enjoy the traditional brunch, prepared by the chef in residence. The local menu is accompanied by a choice of two glasses from our R de Ruinart, Ruinart Millésimé, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs or Ruinart Rosé cuvées.
