A sparkling jewel protected by the hills in the heart of the Province of Treviso, Villa Sandi is a Palladian style masterpiece dating back to 1622. It represents the link between the magnificence of Venice of past centuries and the countryside, the area known as “Garden of Venice”.
The Moretti Polegato family, owners of the Villa, have a long-standing grape-growing tradition, which reflects the culture and passion for fine wines of the whole area.
Nowadays, the Villa is the headquarters of the Villa Sandi winery, and Giancarlo Moretti Polegato currently manages the company and carries on the family tradition, while renewing the ancient role of Venetian villas: Villa Sandi is a producer of wine of excellence and a landmark for wine culture. He has had a leading role in creating Prosecco's reputation as a wine and as a production area, while keeping to extremely high-quality and commitment to the environment. Vineyards have characterized for centuries the landscape of the area and Villa Sandi Estates encompass the entire Prosecco area, from the DOC to the Asolo DOCG gentle hills to the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG steep slopes to the special Cru of Cartizze in Valdobbiadene.
Close to the Villa, the Estate is dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for Villa Sandi Premium wines and Classical Method Sparklings Opere Trevigiane. They find the perfect aging environment in the three century-old underground cellars stretching for over 1,5 km under the Villa.
