There are many things to love about wine, and one of our favourite ones is how it can become even more interesting when paired with the right food. Given our location in the heart of Malbec country, we are particularly passionate about teaching others how to best pair our flagship grape with food in order to bring out the best in its flavours.
Many people think Malbec can only be served with a steak but, in fact, Malbec is an extremely versatile wine that can be served with a range of foods. For instance, young and fruity Malbecs pair well with spicy lamb dishes and plum compote while heavier Malbecs taste great with farmhouse cheddar or dark chocolate. Rustic, earthier Malbecs are great with stews and cassoulets. You can certainly never go wrong with Malbec and a great steak but there are many more options that can be considered, which we highlight in this tasting.
During the Malbec Wine & Food Pairing guests are served our range of Malbec wines along with appropriate food pairings. Our talented chef, Hector Ordenes, who oversees the kitchens in our lodge and Alpasión Restaurant, prepares the food. We promise you won’t be disappointed.
