A warm welcome awaits visitors at Château Léoville Poyferré, in the heart of the Médoc, 45 km north-west of Bordeaux.
The origin of Léoville dates back to 1638. Following various divisions and successions, Léoville Poyferré was established in 1840. It was endowed with the rank of Second Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification of Médoc wines. The Cuvelier family has been the owners since 1920.
Located in the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation, the vineyard is spread out over diverse types of gravelly soils, which contribute to the amplitude and complexity of its wines.
Our wines are blends driven by Cabernet Sauvignon, beautifully intermingled with Merlot and a hint of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
These wines are world-renowned for the finesse of their aromas and elegant, silky mouth-feel.
