As the vine that blossoms every year, Les Sources de Caudalie has experienced several renewals recently: after an outstanding partnership with bridal wear designer Delphine Manivet for the new décor of the L’Ile aux Oiseaux suite, in 2016, the hotel revealed 12 superb new suites, a new restaurant and an indoor pool. In 2015, its restaurant received a second Michelin-star. These all prove that passion for great service remains intact at Les Sources de Caudalie.
The hotel is as motivated as ever to please its guests in an enchanting setting where the vineyards mold the landscape. The wonder and admiration of its guests, enthralled by the relaxing, calm atmosphere and natural surroundings inspire Les Sources de Caudalie to even greater creative efforts. It has always done its utmost to share the values that mean so much to the hotel: well-being, generosity, authenticity, high-quality service, and emotion. The hotel offers something rare in the hospitality industry: bucolic yet refined getaways with tailor-made service… for a true voyage to the source. Les Sources de Caudalie invites you to enjoy its universe, where everything is luxurious, calm and serene.
The birth of a « Palace in the vines »
Les Sources de Caudalie, located among the vineyards of Château Smith Haut Lafitte, a Graves Great Growth, was established in 1999. Alice and Jérôme Tourbier, have continually enhanced and improved this delightful 5-star "hamlet" ever since. The hotel has 61 rooms and suites, two restaurants and a Vinothérapie® Spa combining the therapeutic effects of warm mineral springs with vine and grape extracts. The couple's dedicated efforts have resulted in a warm, family atmosphere. Furthermore, they have lavished all the attention to detail dear to France's finest luxury hotels. The fine balance between their hotel's atypical character and timeless charm can also be found at another hotel the couple took over in 2008, Les Etangs de Corot in Ville d’Avray, on the outskirts of Paris.
An enchanting way to enjoy travelling
The hotel offers a moment of nature within a short distance of large cities. It is only 20 minutes away from the Bordeaux airport, which makes it the perfect way to combine a quick stop in the hustle and bustle of the city and a true moment of peace and quiet in the most enchanting places that nature has to offer. Making maximum use of sustainable energy and energy-saving measures, the hotels have a positive influence on the way people travel.
To provide every guest a total change of scene, only a few minutes from Bordeaux, the architecture of Les Sources de Caudalie is the perfect reflection of the traditional villages in Aquitaine. Architect Yves Collet created contemporary buildings from scratch, from recycled local materials in tune with the surroundings. Activities such as cruises on a pinasse (traditional local flat-bottomed boat) on the Bassin d’Arcachon or bicycle tours around Château Smith Haut Lafitte are examples of Alice and Jérôme Tourbier's efforts to help guests discover their region's cultural heritage.
