Cosmopolitan Buenos Aires (of Notable Cafés and Secret Bars)
Our exploration of cosmopolitan, multi-layered Buenos Aires, Argentina's cosmopolitan capital starts mid-afternoon walking through some of the City's most traditional neighborhoods. At Plaza de Mayo Square, facing the Presidential Pink House, we learn about the country’s recent history and Evita's favorite balcony before walking the few blocks that separate us from San Telmo art district with its charming cobbled alleys, colonial architecture and popular antiques street fair (Sundays only!).
We sample delicious, flaky medialunas -Argentina's answer to French croissants- at Avenida de Mayo and bohemian Dorrego Square. Stopping at a few historic cafés (like renowned Café Tortoni or Café de los Angelitos) is mandatory.
Our urban adventure comes to an end during the early evening, when we will go on a quest to find one of the best “speakeasy” bars in town so we can taste their tapas and signature cocktails.
