Day 1: Santiago
Upon arrival at Santiago´s airport, we are met and transferred to our hotel to freshen up. We spend the early afternoon on an easy walk through Santiago, its traditional and modern districts set against the scenic backdrop of the Andes. We walk to the historic center, its Plaza de Armas and Cathedral, and a few steps up to enjoy sweeping views of the city from Santa Lucia Hill. Along the way, we stop at the City's most celebrated cafeterías and the Emporio La Rosa ice cream shop (“…among the world's top 25." The Daily Meal) to sample unique local flavors. We will round off this gourmet experience with a wine tasting paired with tapas at Bocanariz, Santiago's most renowned wine bar.

Day 2: Food markets of Santiago & Cooking Class
Accompanied by a Chef-guide immerse yourself in Santiago's popular fish & fruit markets and enjoy a cooking class of traditional recipes, over Chilean wines and Pisco Sours.
We start savoring the morning, first at the Mercado Central, Santiago’s celebrated fresh fish market, listed by the National Geographic among the Top 10 Food Markets in the World, and afterwards at La Vega, the popular fruit and vegetable market and the perfect place to discover new flavors. Then, on to the kitchen, where our chef-instructor will guide you through the preparation of simple but delicious Chilean recipes. Relax over lunch enjoying dishes complemented by excellent Chilean Wines before returning to your hotel by mid-afternoon.
Day 3: Ocean breeze wines of Casablanca Valley
This morning, we drive west for about an hour into Casablanca Valley. The valley benefits from a cool ocean breeze that makes this terroir a perfect one for some of the best Sauvignon Blancs and Chardonnays produced in the country. Our first morning visit is to award-winning winery Bodegas RE (Upcoming Winery 2013 – Chile), a small estate where the Morande family, nine generations into wine, applies a concept of ancestry into the elaboration of premium wines, to the extent of producing some of their wines in the family's old jars.
Later on, we make our way to Matetic Winery, and taste their premium wines over lunch, with the Hacienda's beautiful gardens as backdrop. Afternoon visit of the state-of-the-art, modern winery.

Day 4: Seaport city of Valparaiso
Visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of coastal Valparaiso. Historically the main port of Chile, and built almost entirely on steep hills, the city holds a well-deserved reputation among foodies. From the upper hills, we board the old funicular railways and enjoy time for lunch at one of the vibrant local spots. After lunch, wander through town admiring some stunning street art and graffiti In the afternoon we drive back to the wine lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Santiago airport
After breakfast, transfer of choice to either centric Santiago, or to the International Airport to board connecting flights.
