Visiting the D-Day beaches is a thing that every people should do once a life! It’s a very emotional day especially for American, Canadian and British people who are coming here to pay homage to the brave young men who gave their lives in the name of freedom…

Here is our exclusive WW2 day tour. It has nothing to see with Wine nor Spirit, but it’s a mandatory program for the Specialist of France that we are.

Morning The Memorial Museum:

Meet your private guide at 09am to reach the Caen Memorial Museum as your first stop.

It’s the largest museum in France dedicated to 20th century history, particularly World War 2, D-day and the battle of Normandy. It’s a must see while in Normandie and before to pay homage to the militaries when visiting the landing beaches.

The visit of the Museum will take around 3 hours.

Lunch at your own

Afternoon The Landing Beaches and the Soldiers’ Cemeteries:

Operation Overlord began on June 6 1944.

5 beaches were chosen by the Allies and divided up by country. American paratroopers landed Utah beach and Omaha beach while Canadian landed Juno Beach and British Gold beach and Sorwd beach. The five beaches cover a section of 50 miles and Omaha beach is the Western most beach. What we recommend you is to start with Utah beach, then Omaha beach and to visit the Normandy American cemetery in Colleville sur Mer right after. Here, time has come to pay homage to the 9387 young men who lost their lives in the name of Freedom.

The very emotional ceremony of the flag lowering is held one hour before the cemetery closes to the public. It means 04pm during winter time and 05pm during summer time.

This Day Tour can be done from Caen.
