DAY 1: Dublin
Enjoy the country’s vibrant capital city at your leisure by exploring Dublin with a local guide.
Dublin has all the attractions of a modern city, combined with the beauty and heritage of the past. As well as a host of state-of the art whiskey distilleries, Dublin is also home to a host of excellent museums, restaurants and shopping districts as well as a thriving music scene. Fans of literature will also enjoy a visit to the world-famous library at Trinity college or perhaps a literary pub crawl of the city.
DAY 2: Cork
Head in the direction of Cork – the southernmost county on the island of Ireland.
After spending some time enjoying the wonders of Cork City, you will then experience the rich distilling heritage of this region with a special tour and tasting of one of Ireland’s most iconic whiskey distilleries, north of the city. Travel further north to the world-famous Blarney Castle, known for its stone, which is traditionally believed to have the power to bestow eloquence on all those who kiss it.
Continue to seaside haven Kinsale, where you will be captivated by its long waterfront, narrow winding streets, and Compass Hill rising sharply behind the town. The old fortifications of Charles Fort and James Fort guard the narrow entrance to Kinsale from the sea.
DAY 3 : Kerry
Depart Kinsale and travel through the pretty villages of West Cork to Bantry which nestles in the foothills overlooking Bantry Bay. It is possible to visit Bantry House & Gardens which is located in beautiful surroundings and has a splendid collection of art treasures. Continue over the Kerry Mountains to Kenmare which is one of Ireland’s prettiest towns.
Enjoy some leisure time to explore Kenmare before continuing across the scenic mountain route to Killarney, stopping off at Ladies View to admire the wonderful Lakes of Killarney.
DAY 4 : Clare
Depart Killarney and travel north via the coastal route scenic coastal route to Lahinch, famous for its world class golf course and surfing beach. Visit the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher which is probably Ireland’s top natural attraction and their perfect place to enjoy exceptional view of the Atlantic Ocean.
From here, you can tour the truly unique landscape of the Burren – a vast landscape of fissured limestone with deep cracks between them. From spring onwards this landscape is home to a variety of rare and beautiful Irish wildflowers. A visit to the Burren Perfumery is well worth a visit.
