Exclusive activities at Le Palais Benedictine in Normandy, France

History & Bénédictine

Throughout this visit, be immersed in the Bénédictine universe with its great history and the secrets of the liqueur.

Theme : Visits & Tastings Duration : From 1 to 3 hours Groups : Yes

Le Palais Bénédictine, an architectural masterpiece of gothic and Renaissance inspirations, was erected at the end of the 19th century in honour of the Bénédictine liqueur by Alexandre Le Grand, a wine merchant from Fécamp, who had found a recipe created in 1510 by a Bénédictine monk in a grimoire.

This eclectic building will make visitors discover Bénédictine through a unique Experience. They will first explore the museum, which houses rich collections of sacred and ancient art related to the legacy of Bénédictine, as well as a room dedicated to its industrial history. The guided tour then leads to the one and only Bénédictine distillery in the world, with its 19th century hammered copper stills, and to the cellars. Visitors then head to the Winter Garden where they are offered a tasting* of one of the three Bénédictine Expressions and a cocktail.
