In 30 years, the "new" vineyard of Pessac-Léognan has continued and developed with the vitality that characterizes it with the extraordinary economic potential, both quantitative and qualitative thanks to the its refreshing originality. It is a vineyard that stretches over a strip of about 60 kilometers long south of the Médoc region and about fifteen kilometers wide. The total area of the vineyard covers approximately 4150 hectares of which 75% is for red wines while 25% is for white wines.
Planted southeast of Bordeaux, this legendary vineyard popularized by the Roman poet and consul Ausone has existed since ancient times. But it was probably Aliénor d'Aquitaine, who by marrying Henry II King of England and bringing his Graves vineyard in her dowry, made this region renowned.
